Assistant Facilities Manager

Christian Alliance International School (CAIS), a non-profit making school wholly owned by Kowloon Tong Church of the Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance, invites applications for the position of Assistant Facilities Manager. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Assistant Facilities Manager plays a key role to:

  • Support Facility Hire and Event Management,
  • Provide administrative support to the School Facilities Management Office,
  • Promote the use of the school’s facilities to the HK and local community, and
  • Support the resident needs of the Staff Quarters.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide logistical support on hiring/booking of school facilities for both internal and external hirers or parties.
  • Ensure smooth hiring processes and frontline day-to-day operation to facilitate a high-quality experience for the hirer.
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Manager to manage the security team and cleaning team for daily operation needs, facilities operations due to ad hoc event, and external facilities bookings to provide required services and communicate effectively with all stakeholders on the use of facilities.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the school, external parties/organizations on facilities booking.
  • Develop and promote the school facilities to the public by various means, such as, publications and social media.
  • Provide support and relevant coordination on Staff Quarters residents move-in and move-out, including but not limited to flat inspection and furniture, home appliances and utensils/accessories arrangement.
  • Carry out any other ad hoc duties including but not limited to clerical and general support as assigned by Facilities Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or above in Facility Management or relevant discipline
  • At least five years of working experiences in facility and project management
  • Well versed in relevant ordinances
  • High levels of communication skill, negotiation skills and problem-solving skills
  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality
  • A passion for excellence and a commitment to the ongoing development and implementation of the School’s vision
  • Flexible, positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Relevant experience at a school setting preferred
