Drama Teacher (High School)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Drama Teacher will provide instruction mainly in Drama courses and one or two other subjects by arrangement
  • Provide general drama instruction for high school students
  • Organise theatre trips and workshops to enhance students' exposure to drama
  • Collaborate with other teachers in organizing drama shows
  • Prepare students for public performances as specified by the School
  • Design the drama curriculum according to the School's program

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Education, or Bachelor Degree in relevant major subject(s), preferably in drama/performing arts, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent teaching credential with at least 10 weeks’ practicum required
  • Prior experience in teaching drama in high school strongly preferred
  • High level of English proficiency in spoken and written English required

Effective Date of Employment

The starting date for this appointment is January 2024. Initial contract is either on half year or 2.5 years in duration, depending on School’s need. Renewable 2-year contracts are offered subject to mutual agreement.
