Network Administrator

Christian Alliance International School (CAIS), a non-profit making company wholly owned by Kowloon Tong Church of the Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance, invites applications for Network Administrator.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support for network infrastructures (Router, Switch, DHCP, DNS, VPN, structured cabling system etc.). Perform daily network monitoring (wired and wireless). Implement network changes in accordance with change procedure. Perform network and systems preventive maintenance. Maintain and update technical documents such as network diagram, operation procedure, etc. Perform system capacity monitoring. Install and configure computer systems, diagnosing hardware/software faults and solving technical problems. Liaise and coordinate with internal users, vendors, and system integrators in implementing effective ICT solutions. Plan and implement systems and network integrations. Assist in performing system administration duties in server room facilities, servers, firewall, VMware, etc. Assist in answering helpdesk tickets and providing general ICT support to staff, students and parents as required. Timely respond and handle urgent system support. Occasional work outside of normal office hours may be required for critical systems. Any other ad hoc duties allocated by the Assistant ICT Manager or Deputy Head of School. Report to the Assistant ICT Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related disciplines. At least 1 year experience in supporting network administration. Hands-on experience in CISCO/H3C products, TCP/IP, firewalls, LAN / WAN, DHCP, DNS. Holder of vendor certificates (CCNA / Microsoft / etc) is an advantage. Good interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated, and attention to details. Passionate in learning new technologies and improve existing solutions. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
