Spiritual Life at CAIS
CAIS students enjoy an environment that facilitates building character and spiritual growth. This is accomplished in a number of ways, including through Christian ethics classes, regular chapels, spiritual emphasis days and camps. We encourage a culture of kindness in classrooms and on the playground where each member of our school community is valued.
The Christian faith provides the heartbeat of whole child education at CAIS. Our students are invited to grow in faith and character. Opportunities for spiritual development abound.
Each week, students participate in chapel. They engage in worship together. Teachers and guest speakers creatively present the good news of Jesus Christ to our students at a level that engages them.
Spiritual Emphasis Retreats
Students and teachers take time each year to focus on our walk with God through Spiritual Emphasis retreats. These retreats provide a change of pace either at school or local campgrounds. Students have fun, get to know one another better and learn
Christian Ethics and World Religions
The secondary academic program includes courses in Christian Ethics and World Religions. CAIS students are equipped with a rich understanding of life and world events through these classes.
Another opportunity to engage students in the journey of faith is through our unique extracurricular program. The Glow In the Dark (GID) club helps students learn how to share their faith with others. Each year GID members reach out to Hong Kong and into China with creative presentations of the love of God. The Social Justice Club (SJC) partners with local nonprofits to make a positive difference in our community. They have spent quality time with children with special needs in the hospital, shared meals with refugees and engaged in many other meaningful activities.
Our emphasis on the spiritual lives of students is a big part of what makes a CAIS education so special. Students acquire knowledge and skills here. They also develop in discernment and integrity. We encourage you to come and find out more about this exciting aspect of our school.
