Senior Human Resources Officer

Christian Alliance International School (CAIS), a non-profit making school wholly owned by Kowloon Tong Church of the Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance, invites applications for the position of Senior Human Resources Officer. The Human Resources Office provides day-to-day support for teaching and non-teaching staff in a myriad of ways. The incumbent will be one of the key members in the Human Resources team to support including but not limited to recruitment, staff on-boarding, staff relations, and/ or the development and the administration of the compensation and benefits area in staff remunerations for the School.

Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment, Staff On-boarding, Staff Relations
  • Full range of recruitment services from job posting, shortlist of applications and subsequent follow-up, interview arrangement, preparation of employment document to job offer;
  • Hiring and on-boarding including but not limited to teacher certification, visa application and renewal, staff quarters, housing arrangement, travel logistics;
  • Staff relations;
  • Staff professional development;
  • Annual performance management coordination;

Compensation and Benefits
  • Contract management, salary assessment, payroll, taxation, annual audit, rental reimbursement, MPF, insurances, staff departure processes, etc;
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of human resources policies, procedures, manuals, systems and etc, to comply with statutory requirements;
  • Participate in benchmarking surveys of compensation and benefits, analyse report and support to make recommendations as appropriate;
  • Support in manpower planning and staffing budget;
  • Compile regular HR related reports for HR Sub-Committee and Senior Leadership Team’s review;
  • Handle applications of staff welfare and retention fund, external work and benefits review enhancement.

Others
  • Handle staff enquiries and internal communications;
  • Clerical/ administrative support to the department;
  • Support in building a collegial, collaborative and Christ-centred working environment and an organizational culture that fosters continuous development, growth, integrity and professionalism.
  • Run and in charge of ad-hoc projects / tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related disciplines;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience;
  • A good team player, responsible, self-motivated, organized, patient, meticulous, multitasked, and works well under a variety of timelines;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill in English and Chinese;
  • Strong in computer skills;
  • Candidate with understanding of Christian values preferred;
  • Candidates with more experiences will be considered as Assistant Human Resources Manager;
  • Immediate available advantageous.
