The Chief Executive, Mrs. Carrie Lam, on August 23, 2018 officiated at the Award Presentation Ceremony 2018 of the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme (HKSES). CAIS alumnus, Nicholas Cheung, Class of 2018, was one of the 83 students selected out of over 750 applicants. He will commence his undergraduate study at the University of British Columbia this coming fall. The HKSES aims to support students to pursue studies at world-renowned universities outside of Hong Kong with a view to grooming a top cadre of talents with a global vision, an international network and world-class education. Apart from academic achievements, the selection was also based on key considerations including the non-academic attributes of applicants, his or her leadership skills and potential as well as commitment and contribution to Hong Kong. We thank God for Nicholas and this distinguished honor and pray that he will continue to live out CAIS mission to grow in love for God and service to humanity.
