- If students have already set out for school before class suspension is announced, parents should exercise their discretion in deciding whether it is safer to continue to school or to return home. The school premise will be open – staff will be available to supervise the students who have already arrived at school or are on the way, until arrangements can be made for them to safely return home at an appropriate time.
- Extra-curricular activities (ECA) will follow the same guidelines as above. Students will be supervised until parents are able to collect them safely.
- When an adverse weather warning is issued, students on out-of-school activities must return to school, if safe to do so.
- Staff may refer to the Staff Manual for further instructions relevant to them.
Students are responsible for maintaining modest and neat appearances on school premises, at school-related activities, off-campus at lunch. All students are expected to wear full school uniform at all times on campus or at CAIS sponsored activities unless indicated otherwise by the school. Please ensure that all items belonging to your child are clearly labelled with your child’s name to help your child identify their own belongings easily.

CAIS is located at 33 King Lam Street, Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon. There are no parking spaces on campus, and we expect traffic congestion during peak hours. We want to ensure our local neighbours are not affected by increased traffic on their roads. We therefore strongly encourage families to arrive at school either by walking, public transportation or using the school bus service.
CAIS provides busing from many locations across Hong Kong. Our service is contracted out and routes are reviewed annually, if you have already confirmed your child’s enrollment at CAIS, please register your child for the bus service by contacting the service provider directly.

Hot lunch services are a critical part of school life at CAIS, as we understand that providing nutritionally balanced food options for children at school can encourage them to engage in healthy eating habits as they continue to grow. Therefore, we have engaged Sodexo, one of the world’s leading provider of food services, to cater a varied and nutritiously balanced menu for our community.
Sodexo’s core philosophy is to provide “Quality of Life services to create a better future for students and their communities.” Healthy and safe eating is Sodexo’s top priority in its care for students, our leaders of the future. Their strictly supervised food chain supply management system carefully controls everything in our menus from farm to table, ensuring that every meal is not just fresh, natural and healthy, but complies with local and HACCP food safety standards and laws.
Ordering Process
During the current school resumption arrangement, students in Grades 7-12 will all be required to have their lunch at school. Parents of students in Grades 7-12 can pre-order meals online through Sodexo’s meal enrollment program.
