Congratulations to Lauren Delvenne, the recipient for the Spirit of Canada Award
July 2, 2019
The Spirit of Canada award is presented annually by the Consul General of Canada to a student who has made an outstanding contribution in the service of others within the School, leading by example through a combination of participation, diligence, maturity, respect, and integrity.
The winner of the award this year began attending Christian Alliance International School ten years ago, and during this time has done much more than just garner academic awards.
Over the course of high school, this student has won a “Most Improved” award in both academics and sports, and has become increasingly involved in school life while maintaining an Honours, or High Honours academic average.
She is known to say that she is shy, but her impressive resume says otherwise.
She is a true leader because she does not seek recognition, and yet the quality of her character and service to others is exemplary of one whose authority is quiet, and powerful.
She has brought quirky characteristics to her leadership roles in no less than six different extra- and co-curricular clubs and has been a member of several more. Although not a Canadian, her polite demeanour and international outlook will serve her well in her continued studies in the Netherlands next year.
The 2019 Spirit of Canada Award for Christian Alliance International School is awarded to Lauren Delvenne.
